Which one would you have? Since the Viper is what I started out with and it's only available in convertible, I will spec the others in convertible too. They are all manuals , all are in the upper 20k range. They all come from different generations, 90's, 00's and 10's. Do you want modern reliability, LS performance or raw suicidal V10 horsepower?

Give me certain early death, please.

is upkeep and ownership cost a factor?

Too easy, Viper.

If yes: Corvette
If no: Viper

If the Corvette was a hardtop in the same colour, I would have voted for it. But as a convertible, I'll take the Viper, thanks!

I've driving that exact model of Corvette. I'd pick it over the Stang, but the Viper wins just for being a car you don't see every day.

same here. I may even go mustang if i'm being real cheap insurance-wise.

It's all based on what YOU want :D

also if that Mustang was this Mustang things might change

Lol could rank them, if driven hard: Certain Death, Might Die, you'll probably be OK.

Lets pretend you could have bought a new 911 but you cheap, so even the Viper is a cost effective way to go.

Z06

Honestly? The one that would draw the least attention to myself, so probably the Mustang

The Viper is the only one with real character.
Also they are very reliable cars... you just have to decide if you can live without a real roof.

I am confused. 75% of people want a 20 year old car, made by Dodge, with limited parts availability.

Hello and welcome to Oppositelock.

Correction noted. Still, this makes no sense. But that's your point, I know.

It's a 90's Dodge.
Not from the current era of 600hp Challengers and somewhat of a renaissance.
Snap in windows and a shitty soft top seem cool until the novelty wears off.

None of the above.
This for $11.5k and a ton of mods.

You can do so much better on the Corvette.
Here's a 2006 C6 Coupe with manual. Yes coupe, I know you want convertibles but it's a targa.

The one I pictured was one of many, i think I saw one in that color available.

Hmm, should've looked a little harder at Vette's I suppose. Definitely would want the C6 over the C5. When it comes to a car like this I really tend to want them in convertible, Targa is close though.

In much the same manner many would pick a '67 Mustang over an '03 Mustang, even though the '03 is superior in many ways.
The desirability of a Viper is high, it's a car many of us grew up ogling in our matchbox collection, I certainly did.

out of the three, the viper appears to suck the least.

well, I couldn't afford to run it due to the tire eating and such, but viper everytime out of those cars.

viper then. How is the steering ratio on those? Would autocrossing a viper be feasible?
![]() 07/01/2014 at 11:32 |

Possible, but not much fun. You'd barely ever be able to get into in.

Mustang I have kids so in the interest of making them gearheads I would pick the only one with 4 seats.

I would probably be the asshole drifting the course.

Hella Viper. They're pretty reliable too.
![]() 07/01/2014 at 16:49 |

I bet the Viper could be cheaper on insurance than the Mustang depending on who you get insured through. Because it's older, that helps a lot
![]() 07/01/2014 at 18:36 |

The targa is better on the corvette.

Check the insurance price on the Viper.... My buddy compared a 96 Viper and a 2014 Mustang GT. The Viper was cheaper. He's single and 24 years old.....

shiiit son. Between those I mostly meant parts though. I would imagine viper parts are expensive.
